Tony
Miller is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers. He
grew up in Holland and Sweden, and then studied Drama at Bristol University.
He speaks Dutch and French with many errors but reasonably fluently.
He is working on Italian.
Tony holds a current 0-1 US Visa, and English and New Zealand passports.
He is represented in the US by Gersh Los Angeles and managed by Sohigian
Productions.
Throughout the nineties as a DP, Tony worked on nearly 100 documentaries,
(winning many awards worldwide, including RTS and Emmy). These included
“Mustang the Hidden Kingdom”, “In the company of
Whales”, “Spirits of the Rainforest” and “Marathon
Monks”. Tony recently shot “Suzanna a Life in Music”,
“Dawn of Man” which was Emmy nominated in 2016 and tries
to shoot a documentary every year.
Tony has shot eight feature films, many mini-series, and TV movies.
These includes the Emmy awarded and Bafta best photography nominated
“Small Island”, “The Passion” for HBO and
“Zen”. “Quirke”, won best cinematography at
the BSC awards in 2014.
More recently he shot “Fleabag” (RTS, Bafta nominated)
and “Carnival Row” for Amazon Studios/Legendary Entertainment.
Tony has worked on a Tibetan charity project in Mustang, Nepal, for
the past twenty years and currently supports charity Reprieve, (who
aid those suffering human rights abuses), by helping to make films
for them.
Tony lives in London and part time in LA. He is married with two kids,
plays the piano and is good at repairing old cars. |
